With a massive 22-liter fuel tank, it's no secret that the 2006 Interceptor VFR800FI ABS is a bike built for long hauls and maximum street joy. Sporty, nimble and at the same time comfortable and oozing all-rounder worthiness, this machine is now offered in an even better trim.

Honda adds anti-locking brakes to the Interceptor, decreasing the stopping distance in dry conditions and adding stability when braking hard on slipper surfaces. Like the base version, the ABS VFR is also available in a tricolor 25th anniversary livery.

Honda has prepared an ABS-loaded version of their acclaimed sporty all-rounder Interceptor VFR800FI machine. Combining anti-lock brakes with the existing Linked Braking System resulted in an enhanced feel of the bike, adding to the riders' peace of mind and taking road safety to a higher level.

Only several pounds heavier than the non-ABS bike, the 2007 Interceptor VFR800FI ABS is quite a blast to ride: the VTEC engine adjusts valve timing according to the rpm, automatically engaging the 4-valve system above 6400 rpm to add more mid-range grunt. And with multiple touring accessories, the Interceptor VFR800FI ABS is a great machine for longer trips, too.

2009 Honda Interceptor VFR800FI ABS[edit | edit source]

It would have been a terrible shame if Honda left the amazing Interceptor VFR800FI sport-touring beats without the obvious benefits of ABS brakes. Honda knows that many riders out there are willing to spend some extra bucks and add the stability and peace of mind ABS brakes brings to their bikes. Mixing the already safety-focused Linked Braking System with the anti-lock capabilities resulted in a bike with the same nimble character and sporty stance, but with enhanced safety in times of need.

Basically, taming the mighty VTEC V4 engine has now become easier even when emergency braking is needed to avoid collision or riding off the road. If such safety degree appeals to you, then the Interceptor VFR800FI ABS is the way to go.
