The engine was a Air cooled cooled Four stroke, single cylinder, OHC, 2 valve. The engine featured a 9.2:1 compression ratio.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 2.75-21 front tire and a 4.10-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Drum in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a 38mm Showa air assisted forks while the rear was equipped with a Showa Pro-Link shocks. The XL200R Paris Dakar was fitted with a fuel tank. The bike weighed just 114.0 kg / 251.3 lbs.
