The Polaris Sportsman 500 H.O. was a 4-Stroke Single Cylinder, Liquid-cooled ATV produced by Polaris between 2006 and 2013.

It came with a 25 x 8-12; 489 front tire and a 25 x 10-12; 489 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single Lever 4-Wheel Hydraulic Disc in the front and a Hydraulic Rear Foot Brake in the rear. The front suspension was a MacPherson Strut With 8.2-inch (20.8 cm) Travel while the rear was equipped with a Dual A-Arm, IRS 9.5-inch (24.1 cm) Travel. The wheelbase was 50.51 inches (1283 mm) long.

The 500 H.O. is equipped with a liquid-cooled 498cc high-output single overhead valve single-cylinder engine. This engine features a 40mm Mikuni carburetor and an electric starter. This engine's bore measures 92mm, and has a 75mm stroke. The compression ratio of this engine is 10.2:1/
