Overview[edit | edit source]

Royal Enfield Bullet C5 Classic Chrome EFI

Armed with a potent fuel injected 500cc engine and clothed in a disarmingly appealing post war styling, this promises to be the most coveted Royal Enfield in history. With the bold, award-winning design of the Bullet C5 Classic, Royal Enfield blurred the barriers between past and present.

The new, limited edition Bullet C5 Chrome takes the show-stopping aesthetic of the Bullet C5 even further with a stunning splash of chrome that make the bike even more impossible to ignore. With its chrome tank, matching mudguards, oval air box covers and rear shock absorber shrouds the Classic Chrome exudes lustrous charm.

Front forks, headlamp nacelle and tool boxes have a deep red paint and the tool boxes are finished with gold pin-striping. The fuel tank and mudguards all have a broad red stripe, also finished with gold pin striping. Its solo sprung seat is in brown leatherette and a matching pillion pad is available as an accessory.

Introduced in 2009, the 500cc air cooled cylinder engine retains its classic roots, with bore and stroke of 84 x 90mm, but in all other respects it is thoroughly modern. Its pushrods are hydraulically operated, the clutch is a wet multiplate design, fuel is injected electronically and there is a catalytic converter concealed in the chrome silencer. The 18” wheels are shod with Avon Road Rider tires. There is a final concession to the 'good old days' with a kick-start lever on the right hand side, giving riders an alternative to the bike's push-button electric starter. The Royal Enfield Classic Chrome is based on the Classic 500 with a rather generous dose of chrome on it. Like the Classic 500, the new Classic Chrome retains the quintessential classic British styling of the 1950s: simple, harmonious, well proportioned. The Chrome sports a seat with a leather finish and adds to the visual appeal of the motorcycle. Built of old-fashioned metal, in clean elegant lines of Chrome combined with a rich paint finish the design of the Royal Enfield Classic Chrome is a tribute to the retro look of post war British motorcycles.
