The Simson 425 GS was a single cylinder, four-stroke standard produced by Simson between 1957 and 1959. Claimed horsepower was 17.17 HP (12.8 KW) @ 7200 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 68.0mm bore x 68.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 247.0 cubic centimeters.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 3.5-19 front tire and a 4-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake) in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic while the rear was equipped with a swingarm. The 425 GS was fitted with a 4.23 Gallon (16.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 346.13 pounds (157.0 Kg).
