A 101.6mm bore x 101.6mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1130.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the dry, single plate, hydraulic.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 110/80xR19 front tire and a 150/70xR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 304mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 276mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a BMW Motorrad Telelever while the rear was equipped with a BMW Motorrad Paralever. The wheelbase was 59.09 inches (1501 mm) long.
2003 BMW R 1150 GS Adventure Bumble Bee[edit | edit source]
The Bumble Bee version of the R 1150 GS Adventure mainly addresses riders who want their machine to stand out in a crowd. This special edition comes with a black and yellow paint scheme, and has been stripped down for a more clean look. In all other departments, it has the same features and specs as the base model.
