The Ducati Multistrada 1000s DS was a v2, four-stroke Road motorcycle produced by Ducati between 2002 and 2006. Max torque was 6.93 ft/lbs (9.4 Nm) @ 5000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 88.91 HP (66.3 KW) @ 8000 RPM.

The engine was a air cooled v2, four-stroke. A 94.0mm bore x 71.5mm stroke result in a displacement of just 992.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a desmodromic valve control.

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the dry multiplate with hydraulic control.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70-zr17 front tire and a 180/55-zr17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a öhlins 43 mm upside-down fully adjustable fork with tin surface treatment while the rear was equipped with a progressive linkage with fully adjustable öhlins monoshock. The Multistrada 1000s DS was fitted with a 5.28 Gallon (20.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 432.11 pounds (196.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 57.56 inches (1462 mm) long.
