The Suzuki RM465 was Suzuki's open class motorcross motorcycle from 1981 to 1982. It was replaced by the short lasting Suzuki RM500 in 1983. It was a single cylinder, two-stroke standard produced by Suzuki in 1981. It could reach a top speed of 86 mph (138 km/h).
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 86.0mm bore x 80.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 464.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-plate type.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 3.00-21 front tire and a 5.10-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake). internal expanding in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake). internal expanding in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic pneumatic/coil spring while the rear was equipped with a full-floating gas/oil spring preset adjustable, damper 4-way adjustable. The RM465 was fitted with a 2.38 Gallon (9.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 224.87 pounds (102.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 57.48 inches (1460 mm) long
