Engine

Drive
The bike has a 6-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the dry, multiplate, hydraulic.
Chassis
It came with a 120/60 ZR17 front tire and a 190/55 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 220mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm Ohlins upside-down fork, TiN-coating while the rear was equipped with a Ohlins adjustable monoshock with progressive linkage. The 2005 MY Ducati 998S Final Edition was created to mark and end 10 years since the Ducati 998 has been in production. This limited edition embodies the absolute best House Bologna has to offer in terms of technology and parts, and is set apart from all other 998's by the silver plate on the steering head, which is inscribed with "Ducati 998S Final Edition", an Italian flag painted on its tail and an emblazoned tank.
Also, it boasts a maximum power output of 130 horsepower and 105 Nm of torque from its liquid-cooled, four-stroke, fuel-injected, 998cc, 90-degree V-Twin desmodromic powerplant that was paired to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive.
