The front suspension was a 40mm WP upside-down forks, adjustable rebound and damping while the rear was equipped with a WP rising rate adjustable preload, rebound and damping.

The 1995 MY Laverda 650 Sport has, at its heart, an air-cooled, four-stroke, 668cc, parallel twin cylinder engine paired to a six-speed manual transmission that can produce 70 horsepower and 61 Nm of torque. It boasts a state-of-the-art suspension package, composed of a 40mm WP upside-down fork, adjustable for rebound and damping, and a WP rising rate adjustable for preload, rebound and damping. Also, a Brembo braking system ensures that all that power can be easily controlled, and is formed by dual 320 mm discs with 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 245mm disc with a 2-piston caliper in the rear.
