The Bimota YB8 was a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, transverse four cylinder, DOHC, 5 valves per cylinder Sport Bike motorcycle produced by Bimota between 1990 and 1992. Max torque was 86.3 ft/lbs (117.0 Nm) @ 9250 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 148.99 HP (111.1 KW) @ 10500 RPM.

Engine

A 76.2mm bore x 76.2mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1002.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive

The bike has a 5-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.

Chassis

It came with a 120/70-17 front tire and a 180/55-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 230mm disc, 1-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 42mm Marzocchi telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a Marzocchi adjustable mono-shock.
