The Ducati 1198S was a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 90-degree V-twin, DOHC, desmodromic 4 valves per cylinder Sport Bike motorcycle produced by Ducati between 2009 and 2010. Max torque was 97.36 ft/lbs (132.0 Nm) @ 8000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 170.04 HP (126.8 KW) @ 9750 RPM.

Engine

A 106.7mm bore x 106.7mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1198.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive

The bike has a straight cut gears transmission. Power was moderated via the dry, multiplate, hydraulic.

Chassis

It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 190/55 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 330mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 245mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm Ohlins fully-adjustable upside-down fork, TiN-coated while the rear was equipped with a Ohlins fully-adjustable monoshock with progressive linkage. The wheelbase was 56.3 inches (1430 mm) long.
