The bike has a straight cut gears transmission. Power was moderated via the multiplate with hydraulic control.

2009 Ducati GT 1000 Touring[edit | edit source]
The 2009 MY Ducati GT 1000 Touring is a touring-enhanced cruiser, that also boasts the trademark Ducati design and attention details, making for one of the most unique machines available on the market. It has been equipped with a large, detachable windscreen, passenger grab rails, a rear luggage rack, a more comfortable dual seat and revised suspension settings, as opposed to the base GT 1000.
In the engine department it is powered by an air-cooled, four-stroke, 992cc, 90-degree V-Twin powerplant paired to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive, and can produce a claimed 92 horsepower and 92 Nm of torque.
