Chassis

It came with a 120/70-ZR 17 front tire and a 180/55-ZR 17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 220mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a upside-down telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a adjustable monoshock.

The 2002 MY Gilera 600 Super Sport has, at its heart, a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 599cc, transverse four cylinder powerplant that was mated to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive, and can reach a maximum power output of 116 horsepower and 67 Nm of torque.

This machine has also been fitted with forged-aluminium wheels, a full-fairing with an adjustable windscreen, an upside-down telescopic fork, an adjustable monoshock as a rear suspension, Brembo brakes with dual discs in the front, an analogue tachometer and a digital instrumentation display and a high-spec, titanium-aluminium frame.
