The Hesketh V 1000 was a Air Cooled, Four Stroke, V-twin, 4 Valve Per Cylinder Sport touring motorcycle produced by Hesketh in 1980. Max torque was 78.19 ft/lbs (106.0 Nm) @ 5400 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 81.94 HP (61.1 KW) @ 6800 RPM.

Drive

The bike has a 5 Speed transmission.

Chassis

It came with a 4.10-V19 front tire and a 5.10-V17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2x280mm Discs in the front and a Single 280mm Disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Marzocchi Telescopic Forks while the rear was equipped with a Marzocchi Air Spring Preload.

The V1000 was heavy and unreliable, therefore only 139 units were ever produced.
