The Indian ME100 was a single cylinder, two-stroke enduro / offroad motorcycle produced in 1974. It could reach a top speed of 55 mph (88 km/h). Max torque was 0.74 ft/lbs (1.0 Nm) @ 7500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 7.78 HP (5.8 KW) @ 7500 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 53.0mm bore x 44.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 97.0 cubic centimeters. The engine featured a 7.0:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a port control.

Drive

The bike has a 5-speed transmission. The final drive was via chain. Power was moderated via the standard.

Chassis

The 1975 MY Indian ME 100 has, at its heart, an air-cooled, two-stroke, 97cc, single cylinder lump mated to a five-speed manual transmission, and can produce a claimed 8 horsepower and 5 Nm of torque. This machine is one of the few ever to be designed by the American brand specifically for young and less-experienced riders, and comes standard with laced wheels, a dual seat, passenger grab rails, dual shocks as a rear suspension, a drum braking system, and boasted a dry weight of only 79 kg (175 pounds).
