The Laverda 650 Sport was a air/oil cooled, four stroke, parallel twin cylinder, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder Sport Bike motorcycle produced by Laverda in 1995. Max torque was 44.99 ft/lbs (61.0 Nm) @ 7250 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 70.0 HP (52.2 KW) @ 8000 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
A 78.5mm bore x 78.5mm stroke result in a displacement of just 668.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a gears transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 170/60 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2x320mm discs 4 piston calipers in the front and a single 245mm disc 2 piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 40mm WP upside-down forks, adjustable rebound and damping while the rear was equipped with a WP rising rate adjustable preload, rebound and damping.
1995 Laverda 650 Sport[edit | edit source]
The 1995 MY Laverda 650 Sport has, at its heart, an air-cooled, four-stroke, 668cc, parallel twin cylinder engine paired to a six-speed manual transmission that can produce 70 horsepower and 61 Nm of torque. It boasts a state-of-the-art suspension package, composed of a 40mm WP upside-down fork, adjustable for rebound and damping, and a WP rising rate adjustable for preload, rebound and damping. Also, a Brembo braking system ensures that all that power can be easily controlled, and is formed by dual 320 mm discs with 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 245mm disc with a 2-piston caliper in the rear.
