The Moto Guzzi Quota 1100ES was a Air cooled, four stroke, transverse V-twin cylinder, OHV, 2 valves per cylinder Enduro motorcycle produced by Moto Guzzi in 1998. Max torque was 58.27 ft/lbs (79.0 Nm) @ 3800 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 70.0 HP (52.2 KW) @ 6200 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
A 87.9mm bore x 87.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1064.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 5-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the dry plate clutch.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 90/90-21 front tire and a 130/80-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Double discs 280mm, 4 piston calipers in the front and a Single disc 260mm, 1 piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 41.7mm Marzocchi forks while the rear was equipped with a Single shock. The wheelbase was 63.39 inches (1610 mm) long.
1998 - 2001 Moto Guzzi Quota 1100ES[edit | edit source]
The first Moto Guzzi Quota 1100ES was already convincing with its solid comfort, good brakes and adequate performance. Thanks to a new frame tail, the seat height shrank from 870 to 840mm after all. The Quota is still shaft-driven, but it lacks the sophistication of its road-based siblings. That aside, there's very little shaft reaction to speak of.
