The Moto Guzzi Targa 750 was a Air cooled, four stroke, transverse V-twin cylinder, OHC, 2 valves per cylinder Sport touring motorcycle produced by Moto Guzzi between 1989 and 1990. It could reach a top speed of 113 mph (182 km/h). Max torque was 44.26 ft/lbs (60.0 Nm) @ 3000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 46.0 HP (34.3 KW) @ 6600 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a air cooled Air cooled, four stroke, transverse V-twin cylinder, OHC, 2 valves per cylinder. A 79.8mm bore x 79.8mm stroke result in a displacement of just 744.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a overhead valves (ohv).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 5-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Dry with single disc.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 110/90 V18 front tire and a 120/80 V18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Double discs 270mm in the front and a Single disc 235mm in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic air assisted while the rear was equipped with a Marzocchi 5-way preload adjustment. The Targa 750 was fitted with a 4.76 Gallon (18.00 Liters) fuel tank.

The Targa is basically a mix-and-match special of the traditional air-cooled V-twin engine from the NTX 750 trail bike and an equally ancient twin-shock chassis based heavily on that of the 650 Lario, and a body-shape and paint scheme filched straight from the current 1000cc Le Mans.
