The Yamaha SRX 600 was a Single cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled Naked motorcycle produced by Yamaha between 1985 and 1991. Max torque was 28.03 ft/lbs (38.0 Nm) @ 5500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 45.06 HP (33.6 KW) @ 6560 RPM.

Drive
The bike has a 5-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-plate.
Chassis
It came with a 110/70-17 front tire and a 150/60-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Double discs 267 mm in the front and a Single disc 240 mm in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Dual Kayaba shocks. The SRX 600 was fitted with a 1.06 Gallon (4.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 54.29 inches (1379 mm) long.

The Yamaha SRX is a motorcycle manufactured in three engine sizes: 250, 400 and 600 cc.The 600 cc model was originally manufactured for international market and the 400 cc model was introduced only for Japan. The 600 cc model has 42HP and a top speed of 180 km/h.
1991 - 1997 Yamaha SRX 600
The SRX 600 with this type of chassis was a thing of modernistic beauty, with the frame a box-section double cradle that provided stiffness and helped the good handling. Should the engine ever need to be worked on, a section on the right side unbolted for ease of removal.
