The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Four stroke, single cylinder, 4 valve. The engine featured a 12.1:1 compression ratio.

Drive[edit | edit source]

Power was moderated via the Wet multi-disc.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 90/90 -21 front tire and a 140/80 -18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single Ø 260 mm disc, 2 piston caliper in the front and a Single Ø 240mm disc, 1 piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a Sachs USD fork, Ø 48 mm, adjustable compression and rebound, TFX technology, while the rear was equipped with a Aluminum Body Sachs shock w/adjustable rebound and hi/low speed compression. The RS500 was fitted with a 7.9 L / 2.1 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 111.5 kg / 246 lbs. The wheelbase was 1475 mm / 58.1 in long.

Featuring a wide range of modern technologies, a potent engine and a rugged construction, the Beta 500 Rs can deal effortless even with the toughest tracks. It is powered by a Beta-built, 478 cc, single cylinder, 4-valve, 4-stroke liquid cooled engine with, electric start with back up kick starter and cooling fan kit. The engine is kept under control by a six speed transmission with wet multi-disc clutch. The motorcycle’s backbone is represented by a light molybdenum steel frame with double cradle split above exhaust port. For enhanced practicality, the Beta 500 RS is equipped with a Voyager GPS unit with maps, engine temp, outside temp, trip meter and much more. Other features that are worthy of being mentioned include a newly designed seat foam, new graphics and more than 300 optional accessories.
