The House of Borgo Panigale have launched the all new, 2013 MY Ducati 1199 Panigale R, to become the new flagship sportbike. They have took the 1199 Panigale S and improved it with race-derived elements, such as the lightweight titanium con-rods, lightweight crankshaft flywheel, DLC-coated rocker-arms, an increased rev-limit of 12000 rpm, a fur-point adjustable swingarm pivot, a full carbon fiber body work, as well as a race kit, which includes a full Termingoni exhaust system, an Up-map hey with dedicated ECU mapping, a race-derived screen and fairing mirror-caps, plus a livery inspired by the Ducati Corse.

The 2014 MY Ducati 1199 Panigale R is a lighter, more powerful version of the base 1199 Panigale. With features such as titanium con-rods in the engine, racin-grade screen, fairing mirror caps in machined alloy and a full Termignoni exhaust system with a dedicated ECU mapping (for track use only), the Panigale R brings unprecedented performance, in a lighter package. Visually, it has the race-inspired livery of the Ducati Corso, with a white racing stripe going from front to rear, as well as more carbon fiber which adds to a total weight reduction of almost 3 kg, as opposed to its Panigale S sibling.

At its heart lies the liquid-cooled, 1198cc, Superquadro L-twin cylinder with four Desmodromic valves per cylinder, which can produce 195 horsepower and 132 Nm of torque.
