2004 Ducati 999S[edit | edit source]
The "S"-suffixed version of the 999 Ducati stands for "Sport", and offers superior maneuverability and safety features, as opposed to the base model, thanks to the Ohlins suspension package and improved Brembo brakes it has been equipped with. Also, its engine has been remapped, and offers 4 less horsepower and four more Nm of torque then the base model, but its power output has been made more manageable, for an overall improved rider experience.
The visual department has remained the same, offering the same color choices, the only noticeable difference being the S at the end of the 999 on the side fairings and the white tail section.
