The Ducati Monster 620 Capirex was a air-cooled, four-stroke, 90-degree V-Twin, SOHC, desmodromic 2 valves per cylinder Naked motorcycle produced by Ducati in 2004. Max torque was 39.09 ft/lbs (53.0 Nm) @ 6750 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 59.94 HP (44.7 KW) @ 9500 RPM.

A 78.7mm bore x 78.7mm stroke result in a displacement of just 618.0 cubic centimeters.

The bike has a 5-speed, manual transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/60 ZR17 front tire and a 160/60 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 245mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm upside-down telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a adjustable Sachs monoshock with progressive linkage. The Monster 620 Capirex was fitted with a 1.06 Gallon (4.00 Liters) fuel tank.

The 2004 MY Ducati Monster 620 Capirex is a special version that was dedicated to renowned Italian racer Loris Capirossi, to celebrate his successful first year in MotoGP under the Ducati colors. Unlike the base version, it has been fitted with a double-sided aluminum swingarm, a higher ground clearance and seat height, a height-adjustable rear axle and carbon-fiber body parts, such as the front mudguard, the silencer head guards and panels.

In the engine department it is powered by an air-cooled, four-stroke, 90-degree V-Twin desmodromic powerhouse, paired to a five-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive and can produce a claimed 60 horsepower and 53 Nm of torque.
