The bike has a chain transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.
It came with a D402F MH90-21 front tire and a D407 170/60R17 78H rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single 292mm disc, 4-piston caliper in the front and a single 292mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm inverted fork while the rear was equipped with a preload adjustable dual shocks. The CVO Dyna was fitted with a 1.32 Gallon (5.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 63.5 inches (1613 mm) long.

The 2007 MY Harley Davidson FXDSE Screamin' Eagle Dyna has, at its heart, an air-cooled, 1800cc, Twin Cam 110 V-twin powerhouse that produces a claimed 142 Nm of torque at 3000 rpm, and is paired to a six-speed manual transmission with a Cruise Drive technology.
Standard features include a new, straight-cut muffle with full length chrome covers exhaust system, a spun-aluminum, metal-faced speedometer and mini-tachometer, a chrome riser trim, a new, slotted, chrome belt guard, forward-mounted foot controls, a new, chrome, air cleaner cover with custom insert and three special paint schemes to choose from.
