A 99.1mm bore x 99.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1690.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit]

The bike has a chain transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.

Chassis[edit]

It came with a BW 130/80B17 front tire and a BW 180/65B16 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 300mm discs, 4-piston caliper in the front and a single 300mm disc, 4-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 41mm telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a air-adjustable monoshock. The Fire/Rescue Electra Glide was fitted with a 1.59 Gallon (6.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 63.5 inches (1613 mm) long.

The 2008 MY Harley Davidson Fire/Rescue FLHTP Electra Glide sports an air-cooled, 1690cc, Twin Cam 103 powerhouse mated to a six-speed manual transmission with a Cruise Drive technology, and can produce 138 Nm of torque at 2500 rpm.

Standard features include a new ABS, a Brembo braking system, an automatic compression release, an Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) technology, a larger, 6-gallon fuel tank, a jiffy stand interlock, a pivot saddle, hard, lockable saddlebags, a rear luggage rack, and a fork-mounted fairing with a small windscreen.

Standard features include a new frame and swingarm, a new, 68-tooth, rubber-isolated rear drive sprocket, a new, 2-1-2 exhaust system and a new LED rear fender tip light and red license plate illumination. Also, a rear trunk, hard saddlebags, a solo seat, a fork-mounted fairing, and a full-coverage front fender come as standard.

It was for and in honor of fire and rescue department officers, and comes standard with a rear trunk, hard, lockable saddlebags, a solo seat, a fork-mounted fairing with a small windscreen, a full-coverage front fender, chrome embellishments on the front fork, the exhaust and the engine accents, plus five-spoked, cast-aluminum wheels.
