The bike has a chain transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a D408F NW 130/80B17 65H front tire and a D407 NW 180/65B16 81H rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 32 mm, 4-piston caliper in the front and a 32 mm, 4-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a monoshock. The Shrine Road King was fitted with a 1.59 Gallon (6.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 63.5 inches (1613 mm) long.

The 2009 MY Harley Davidson Shrine Road King sports an air-cooled, 1584cc, Twin Cam 96 powerhouse mated to a six-speed manual transmission with a Cruise Drive technology, and can produce 125 Nm of torque at 3500 rpm.

This two-wheeler has been dedicated and designed for men of the cloth and spiritual guides, and boasts two special paint and graphic schemes, created especially for the Shrine series. It also comes with improvements, as opposed to its forefathers, such as the new, 2-1-2 exhaust system, a new frame and swingarm, new cast-aluminum wheels, and an increased load capacity.

The 2010 MY Harley Davidson Shrine Road King sports an air-cooled, 1584cc, Twin Cam 96 V-Twin powerhouse paired to a six-speed manual transmission with a Cruise Drive system and can produce 125 Nm of torque at 3500 rpm.

As all models in the Shrine series, it can be purchased with two special paint schemes, found only on this series, as well as all the features found on the base model, such as the new helical cut 5th gear, the full length floorboards, a chrome, 2-1-2 dual exhaust with tapered mufflers, the hard, lockable saddlebags or the Lexan detachable windshield.

In all other aspects, it is the same as the base Road King, and has standard features such as the hard, lockable saddlebags, the detachable windshield, the chrome dual exhaust system or the black, 28-spoked, cast aluminum wheels with narrow whitewall tires mounted on them.
