The bike has a chain transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a D407F MH90-21 54H front tire and a D407 200/55R17 78V rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single 292mm disc, 4-piston caliper in the front and a single 292mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 41mm telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a monoshock. The Softail Custom was fitted with a 1.32 Gallon (5.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 66.89 inches (1699 mm) long.

It boasts a new, 200mm wide rear tire, a new two-up seat with chrome backrest, a new profile, ape-hanger handlebar, new graphics on the fuel tank and a new front fork slider cover and chrome bullet headlamp. Also, it comes standard with a sculpted, Bobtail rear fender, forward-mounted, highway-style rider pegs, a chrome, horseshoe oil tank and a chrome, laced-aluminum, 21" front wheel.
