Honda decided to offer optional ABS to their stylish Silver Wing maxi scooter. The base model was also cool on the safety side, as it has CBS, one of Honda's proprietary braking systems which provides enhanced stability under a variety of road conditions. With the added ABS, this maxi scooter is even safer for rides on difficult surfaces, and stops in a shorter distance.

Aside the minimal weight increase, the 2005 Silver Wing ABS retains the full maneuverability of the base model, and the practical aspect is even more alluring. For commuting or for longer trips, the Silver Wing ABS can be a very good, economical and fun alternative.

It may have a "Wing" in the name, but this machine is no Goldwing-derivation, at least not in terms of displacement. On the comfort side, the 2006 Silver Wing boasts premium features, such as a two-step, plush seat, with ample leg room, while the tall windscreen offers ehanced weather protection.

2007 Honda Silver Wing ABS[edit | edit source]

As feature-loaded as the 2006 Silver Wing is, it was only logical that Honda offered an ABS-equipped for the riders who value road safety more than anything. Even if some could believe that adding ABS to scooter is a bit overkill, the Silver Wing is definitely no 49cc toy.

With a 50hp 582cc parallel twin and stunning aerodynamic design, this baby can go really fast, so added safety in the shape of anti-locking brakes is a good way to stay in control. The ABS version is only several pounds heavier than the stock model, but this does not affect performance.
