The KTM 525 SMR was a single cylinder, four-stroke standard produced by KTM between 2004 and 2005. Max torque was 31.35 ft/lbs (42.5 Nm) @ 3250 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 95.0mm bore x 72.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 510.4 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a overhead cams (ohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc clutch, operated hydraulically.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70-17 front tire and a 160/60-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a wp-usd 48 mm (1.89 inches) while the rear was equipped with a wp-pds shock absorber. The 525 SMR was fitted with a 1.85 Gallon (7.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 241.41 pounds (109.5 Kg). The wheelbase was 58.31 inches (1481 mm) long.
