The Kawasaki Balius II was a Liquid cooled, 4 cylinders in line, 4-stroke Naked motorcycle produced by Kawasaki in 1996. Max torque was 14.75 ft/lbs (20.0 Nm) @ 13000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 39.56 HP (29.5 KW) @ 14000 RPM.

A 48.8mm bore x 48.8mm stroke result in a displacement of just 249.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6 Speed transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 110/70-17 front tire and a 140/70-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single disc with 4-piston calipers in the front and a Single disc with 2-piston calipers in the rear. The Balius II was fitted with a 1.06 Gallon (4.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 55.12 inches (1400 mm) long.

1996 - 2008 Kawasaki Balius II

Kawasaki introduced the Balius II in 1996 with little modifications to the bodywork, suspension and electric wiring. The Balius ZR 250 as it was officially called, had 250 cc engine that developed 39.5 hp at an impressive 14,000 rpm. The bike was aimed at the beginner segment, displaying very comfortable ride position, easy handling and stability and predictable acceleration.
