A 62.0mm bore x 62.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 248.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-discs.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 110/70-17 front tire and a 130/70-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single disc in the front and a Single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a 36mm telescopic forks with no adjustments while the rear was equipped with a Uni-Trak rising rate monoshock with no adjustments. The wheelbase was 55.12 inches (1400 mm) long.

As some if its brothers, Ninja 250R, also known as EX250 or GPX250, has been manufactured since 1987. This light sporty bike, weighing over 300lbs has 36 HP and can easily reach a speed of 160 km/h. The US models haven't changed over the years.
