The Kawasaki GPZ1000RX was a in-line four, four-stroke Sport touring motorcycle produced by Kawasaki between 1984 and 1988. It could reach a top speed of 151 mph (243 km/h). Max torque was 70.81 ft/lbs (96.0 Nm) @ 7000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 122.3 HP (91.2 KW) @ 9500 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a liquid cooled in-line four, four-stroke. A 74.0mm bore x 58.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 997.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-plate.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/80-16 front tire and a 150/80-16 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Oil/air spring forks while the rear was equipped with a Swingarm. The GPZ1000RX was fitted with a 5.55 Gallon (21.00 Liters) fuel tank.

The Kawasaki GPZ 1000 RX is a brand new motorcycle. The engine is based on the 900R and the chassis is the same with GPZ 600R. Teh engine is the old 1100 bored out with a few details changes to the transmission and a ligther, stainless exhaust system.
