The Kawasaki VN1500 Mean Streak was a v2, four-stroke standard produced by Kawasaki between 2002 and 2003. It could reach a top speed of 115 mph (185 km/h). Max torque was 84.09 ft/lbs (114.0 Nm) @ 3000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 69.46 HP (51.8 KW) @ 5500 RPM.

A 102.0mm bore x 90.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1470.0 cubic centimeters.

The bike has a 5-speed transmission.

It came with a 130/70-r17 m/c 62h front tire and a 170/60-r17 m/c 72h rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual disc in the front and a single disc in the rear.
