The Kawasaki W800 Cafe was a v4, four-stroke Classic motorcycle produced by Kawasaki between 2011 and 2019. Max torque was 46.4 ft/lbs (62.9 Nm) @ 4800 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 46.0 HP (34.3 KW) @ 6000 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a air cooled v4, four-stroke. A 77.0mm bore x 83.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 773.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a single overhead cams (sohc).
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 100/90-c56h front tire and a 130/80-18m rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopi fork while the rear was equipped with a twin shocks. The W800 Cafe was fitted with a 4.0 Gallon (15.14 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 476.2 pounds (216.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 57.72 inches (1466 mm) long.

2010 brings a new, bigger and better version of the acclaimed W series: the Kawasaki W800. This bike sports the same classic design and attitude, but the engine is all-new.
The 773cc vertical-twin power unit produces 48 PS and thanks to its special tuning, the max torque is reached already at 2500 rpm, making the W800 extremely fun to ride in low and mid-range rpm. The new motorcycle also comes with an electric start and fuel injection, a 5-speed gearbox and chain final transmission.
The design retains the huge retro headlamp, metal fenders and one-piece ribbed seat, peashooter-style dual exhaust and classic tank. Dual gauge instrumentation is aided by a small, multi-function LCD screen for essential riding data.

2012 Kawasaki W800 Special Edition[edit | edit source]
The 2012 Kawasaki W800 Special Edition boasts the sober matte/ satin black color scheme, but this year's model replaces the gold anodised rims with the same dark tone, while changing the color of the tank, now a dark cherry with a black racing stripe.
The motorcycle retains all the classic features, such as peashooter silencers, old-school chromed vertical parallel-twin engine, rubber knee pads and the ribbed one-piece seat. The traditional 2-gauge instrumentation is complemented by a modern-era LCD screen with multiple functions and adjustable brake and clutch levers for a more confident feel of the bike.
On the tech side, the 2012 Kawasaki W800 Special Edition keeps things the way they were: a 773cc engine producing 48 PS and offering the max torque straight from 2500 rpm for an exceptional feeling of the motorcycle in all condition, slow city rides included. Multiple accessories are also available.

Kawasaki truly have built a head turner with the new W800. It has been designed with a true yesteryear look, but do not be fooled, the materials, engineering and finish are totally up to today's high demands. The aircooled engine has been carefully sculpted, with all metal parts either lustre polished and clear coated or chromed.
