A 76.2mm bore x 76.2mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1043.0 cubic centimeters.

The bike has a 6-Speed, return transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-disc, manual.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70ZR17M/C (58W) front tire and a 190/50ZR17M/C (73W) rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Dual semi-floating 300 mm petal discs. Caliper: Dual radial-mount, monobloc, opposed 4-piston in the front and a Single 250 mm petal disc. Caliper: Single-piston in the rear. The front suspension was a 41 mm inverted fork with stepless compression and rebound damping and spring preload adjustability while the rear was equipped with a Horizontal Back-link, gas-charged, with stepless rebound damping and remote spring preload adjustability. The Z1000 SX TOURER was fitted with a 1.32 Gallon (5.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 56.89 inches (1445 mm) long.
2016 Kawasaki Z1000 SX TOURER[edit | edit source]
Monokey, 28 x 2 liters capacity, each pannier can fit a full face helmet. Colour-matched to the body of the bike the panniers feature the Kawasaki logo stamped into their covers. Mounting is as simple as sliding the panniers onto the slots on the grips and the pannier supports integrated in tandem footpeg stays.
