The Kymco MXU500 IRS was a single cylinder, four-stroke standard produced by Kymco between 2010 and 2017. It could reach a top speed of 45 mph (72 km/h). Max torque was 29.5 ft/lbs (40.0 Nm) @ 5500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 19.58 HP (14.6 KW) @ 5800 RPM.

The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 92.0mm bore x 75.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 498.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

It came with a 25/8-12 front tire and a 25/10-12 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a independent dual a-arm while the rear was equipped with a engine type. The MXU500 IRS was fitted with a 5.02 Gallon (19.00 Liters) fuel tank.
