The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 39.0mm bore x 41.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 49.0 cubic centimeters.

The bike has a 4-speed transmission.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/80-16 front tire and a 120/80-16 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a single shock. The RS50 was fitted with a 0.92 Gallon (3.50 Liters) fuel tank.
