The Laverda 500 RS was a twin, four-stroke standard produced by Laverda between 1976 and 1977. It could reach a top speed of 104 mph (167 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 43.99 HP (32.8 KW) @ 8200 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a air cooled twin, four-stroke. A 72.0mm bore x 61.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 496.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6-speed transmission.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 3.50-18 front tire and a 4.00-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The 500 RS was fitted with a 4.49 Gallon (17.00 Liters) fuel tank.
