The MV Agusta Brutale 1090 ABS was a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, transverse four cylinder, DOHC, four valves per cylinder Naked motorcycle produced by MV Agusta between 2013 and 2014. Max torque was 83.35 ft/lbs (113.0 Nm) @ 8100 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 144.03 HP (107.4 KW) @ 10300 RPM.

A 78.7mm bore x 78.7mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1078.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a gears transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70 - ZR 17 (58 W) front tire and a 190/55 - ZR 17 (75 W) rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320 mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 210 mm disc, 4-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a upside-down telescopic hydraulic fork with rebound-compression damping and spring preload external and separate adjustment while the rear was equipped with a progressive, single shock absorber with rebound and compression (High speed / Low speed) damping and spring preload adjustment. The wheelbase was 56.61 inches (1438 mm) long.

The 2013 MY MV Agusta Brutale 1090 ABS comes standard with a state-of-the-art ABS system, which makes for a more stable machine when the going gets tough, and has the added bonus of an off-function, if the rider wants feels the need for a more aggressive machine. At its heart lies the same engine found on the base model, a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 1078cc, in-line four cylinder engine that can produce 144 horsepower and 112 Nm of torque.

For riders who want a more safe and easier to control machine, even if the going gets tough and traction is reduced, the House of Schiranna has launched the 2014 MY MV Agusta Brutale 1090 ABS. It comes standard with the latest ABS technology from the Italian engineers, and a switch off function, for the more adventurous of riders.

In all other departments, it is the same as the base Brutale 1090, and comes with the same liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 1078cc, in-line four cylinder engine paired to a six-speed manual tranmsission, and can produce 144 horsepower and 112 Nm of torque.
