The MV Agusta Brutale 990R was a in-line four, four-stroke standard produced by MV Agusta between 2008 and 2011. It could reach a top speed of 165 mph (265 km/h). Max torque was 78.19 ft/lbs (106.0 Nm) @ 8000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 136.11 HP (101.5 KW) @ 10600 RPM.

The engine was a oil & air cooled in-line four, four-stroke. A 76.0mm bore x 55.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 998.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet, multiplate.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70-zr17 front tire and a 190/55-zr17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. 4-piston in the front and a single disc. 4-piston in the rear. The front suspension was a upside-down telescopic hydraulic fork with rebound-compression damping and spring preload adjustment while the rear was equipped with a progressive, single shock absorber with rebound compression damping and spring preload. The Brutale 990R was fitted with a 6.08 Gallon (23.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 418.88 pounds (190.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 56.61 inches (1438 mm) long.
