The bike has a 5-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.

Chassis[edit]

It came with a 110/90-18 front tire and a 140/80-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320 mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 282 mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 45 mm Marzocchi telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a swing arm with 2 hydraulic shock absorbers with preload adjustment. The California 1100 EV Special was fitted with a 1.32 Gallon (5.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 61.42 inches (1560 mm) long.
