The Moto Morini 1200 Sport was a v2, four-stroke Naked motorcycle produced by Moto Morini between 2008 and 2012. Max torque was 75.24 ft/lbs (102.0 Nm) @ 6700 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 114.52 HP (85.4 KW) @ 8500 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a liquid cooled v2, four-stroke. A 107.0mm bore x 66.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1187.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the multiple-plate clutch in oil bath.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70-r17 front tire and a 180/55-r17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. bremo, 4-piston in the front and a single disc. bremo, 4-piston in the rear. The front suspension was a marzocchi upside down fork while the rear was equipped with a single lateral shock absorber with fully adjustable piggy back tank. The 1200 Sport was fitted with a 5.55 Gallon (21.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 436.52 pounds (198.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 56.69 inches (1440 mm) long.
2008 Moto Morini 1200 Sport[edit | edit source]
Presented at the Padova Show, 1200 Sport comes with the Bialbero CorsaCorta 1187cc twin cylinder designed by Franco Lambertini. This engine develops 117 hp at 8500rpm and a high torque of 102 Nm at 6700 rpm. The 1200 Sport is available in an orange/blue scheme.
