The Suzuki Intruder Classic 400 was a v2, four-stroke Cruiser motorcycle produced by Suzuki between 1994 and 2016. Max torque was 17.92 ft/lbs (24.3 Nm) @ 6000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 32.32 HP (24.1 KW) @ 8000 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a oil & air cooled v2, four-stroke. A 65.0mm bore x 60.2mm stroke result in a displacement of just 399.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a single overhead cams (sohc).
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-plate coil spring.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 130/90-16 front tire and a 170/80-15 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc. hydraulic in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic, coil spring, oil damped while the rear was equipped with a twin shock, oil damped, 5-way adjustable spring preload. The Intruder Classic 400 was fitted with a 3.96 Gallon (15.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 606.27 pounds (275.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 65.16 inches (1655 mm) long.
1994 Suzuki Intruder Classic 400[edit | edit source]
This model was presented only in white color with the airbrush on the tank and rear fender. The bike has a large wheelbase (1655 mm.), as well as a very convenient for longer trips saddle-shaped seat and wide footrest. The engine, which is equipped with these machines, is highly reliable, but high demands on the quality of gasoline. The advantages of motorcycles also includes high maneuverability, which is due to their compact size.
