The Japanese customers are offered some retro design Suzukis that are not available in Europe. One of them is the ST 250, first shown on Tokyo Motor Show in 2003. It has a 250cc single cylinder four-stroke engine with two valves per cylinder, traditional suspension and tubular steel frame. A direct plating processing to the aluminum cylinder inner wall called SCEM (Suzuki Composite Electrochemical Material) is used for light weight and heat resistance.
