1996 - 2000 Triumph Adventurer 900[edit | edit source]

The 1997 Triumph Adventure 900 came as a response for American riders, who wanted a more custom-like version of the Thunderbird. Sporting the same 885cc three-cylinder lump and the same chassis as the Thunderbird, the British engineers focused more on the visuals of the bike, offering it a more "elegant" touch.

Features such as a 19/16 inch wheel combo, longer forks and higher bars set it apart from the other Triumph models, after the producer's revival in 1991.

1998 Triumph Adventurer 900[edit | edit source]

The 1998 MY Triumph Adventurer 900 has a classic cruiser look, with higher bars, longer forks and a 19/16 inch wheel combo, make the Adventurer the most laid back bike in the Triumph family, literally.

And not only is the Adventurer a looker, it is a doer also, thanks to its proven 885cc, liquid-cooled, three-cylinder power plant capable of producing 70 horsepower and 72 Nm of torque.

1999 Triumph Adventurer 900[edit | edit source]

American customers wanted a little more out of the Thunderbird, so the British response was the 1999 MY Triumph Adventurer 900. Sporting the same 885cc, three cylinder lump and the same rigid chassis as the T-bird, the Adventurer received an upgrade in the aesthetics department, to make it look more like a custom cruiser, great for long hauls on 66.

Features such as a longer fork, higher handlebars and a bigger 19 inch front wheel have been introduced by the British engineers, to give the rider a more laid-back position.

2000 Triumph Adventurer 900[edit | edit source]

If you're on the market for a classic cruiser, than the 2000 MY Triumph Adventurer 900 is a bike to take into consideration. It comes equipped with the proven three-cylinder, 885cc powerplant we can find on most of the Triumph models, and it shares the same rigid chassis with the Thunderbird, so you know it will behave nicely around the bends.

The British engineers have added a few touches, such as a longer fork, a 19/16 inch wheel combo and higher handlebars, which make it more comfortable for the rider but also to have that laid-back position, typical for classic cruisers.

2001 Triumph Adventurer 900[edit | edit source]

The 2001 MY Triumph Adventurer sports a three-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 885cc powerplant that produces 70 horsepower and 72 Nm of torque, which may not seem very much but, for a classic-style cruiser, it is sufficient to put a broad smile on the rider's face when going down the motorway.

Certain improvements in the handlebars, wheels and the front fork give the rider a laid-back position, which is more comfortable and helps the Adventurer achieve the intended looks, ride-position and character of a classic cruiser.

2002 Triumph Adventurer 900[edit | edit source]

The 2002 MY Triumph Adventurer 900 addresses riders with a taste for 60's and 70's cruisers. The two-wheeler is based on the British-engineered and produced 885cc powerplant and the rigid chassis of the Thunderbird, but with a twist. A longer fork, higher handlebars and a combination between a 19 inch front wheel and a 16 inch rear make the Thunderbird look, feel and act like a classic cruiser with the advantages of a more modern power delivery and technology.
