The Vespa GT 200 L was a Single cylinder, four stroke, liquid-cooled scooter produced by Vespa in 2003. Max torque was 13.28 ft/lbs (18.0 Nm) @ 6500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 21.05 HP (15.7 KW) @ 8500 RPM.

A 71.1mm bore x 71.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 197.8 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a Automatic CVT transmission. Power was moderated via the Dry, centrifugal type.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70-12 front tire and a 130/70-12 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single disc 220 mm in the front and a Single disc 220 mm in the rear. The front suspension was a Single arm with hydraulic shock absorber while the rear was equipped with a Engine swingarm with 2 hydraulic shock absorbers. The wheelbase was 54.88 inches (1394 mm) long.

The 2003 GT 200 L is the first larger-frame modern Vespa, introduced in 2003 after the success of the ET-series, which led Vespa`s return to the US market after a 20-year absence. The GT 200 L introduced the angular, reveled body style whinch has been the design foundation of all modern Vespa models since.
