The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 75.0mm bore x 63.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 278.0 cubic centimeters.

The bike has a automatic transmission. Power was moderated via the automatic dry centrifugal clutch with vibration dampers.
