The Yamaha FJ-1100 was a Air/oil Cooled, Four Stroke, Transverse Four Cylinder, DOHC, 4 Valves Per Cylinder Sport touring motorcycle produced by Yamaha in 1985. Max torque was 62.7 ft/lbs (85.0 Nm) @ 8000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 124.98 HP (93.2 KW) @ 9000 RPM.

A 73.7mm bore x 73.7mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1097.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 5 Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-discs.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/80 V16 front tire and a 150/80 V16 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Double discs 282 mm in the front and a Single disc 282 mm in the rear. The front suspension was a 41mm Stanchion Tube, 3-way Position Adjustable Preload Damping while the rear was equipped with a Single Shock 17-way Adjustable Rebound Damping. The wheelbase was 58.7 inches (1491 mm) long.

The FJ-1100 was the first litre-plus motorcycle. The FJ is a genuine 150 mph superbike, combining a huge and immenseley strong engine with a low and fairly lightweight chassis.
