The Yamaha FSX 750 was a Four cylinder, four stroke, liquid-cooled Cruiser motorcycle produced by Yamaha in 1983. Max torque was 59.75 ft/lbs (81.0 Nm) @ 8000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 102.05 HP (76.1 KW) @ 10500 RPM.

A 68.6mm bore x 68.6mm stroke result in a displacement of just 749.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-disc.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 110/90-V16 front tire and a 140/90-V15 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Double discs 267 mm in the front and a Single disc 267 mm in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic forks non adjustable while the rear was equipped with a Dual shocks. The wheelbase was 59.8 inches (1519 mm) long.

1983 - 1990 Yamaha FSX 750[edit | edit source]

This engine was a retuned version of the four-stroke DOHC twenty-valve four cylinder inline engine found in the FZ 750. The Yamaha FZX 750 was build from the early 1980s until the mid 1990s. The US version was the FZX 700 Fazer, imported only in 1986 and 1987, with a 50 cc smaller engine displacement to avoid import tariffs on motorcycles larger than 700 cc.
